چکیده
Valorisation of organic wastes in renewable energy production has attracted a global attention order to achieve sustainable industrial growth. Anaerobic digestion (AD) is considered be one the most environmentally friendly waste management technology and also fulfils necessity fuel generation. It much less demand than other technologies like gasification or pyrolysis due its low operation temperature. Whiskey distillery wastewater, pot ale, classified as high strength content hence rendering it suitable substrate for anaerobic digestion. Despite waste-to-energy conversion potential, ale contains lignin fraction which makes resistant biodegradation. Therefore introducing pre-treatment step required enhance biogas matter degradation. In this study was assessed at lab scale batch mode reactor after implementation 1 M NaOH microwave pre-treatments varying power settings. Response Surface Methodology adopted process modelling optimisation inoculum ratio, initial pH were investigated three different levels. addition, mineral quality digestate been analysed agricultural use.

Improvement of Anaerobic Digestion of Sewage Sludge, Using Combined Hydrogen Peroxide and Thermal Pre-Treatment
The present study investigates the influence of individual and combined hydrogen peroxide and thermal pre-treatment of waste activated sludge on anaerobic digestion. For so doing, it employs anaerobic batch reactors in the mesophilic conditions. For comparison, soluble fractions of organic matter, biogas production, biochemical methane potential, removal of chemical oxygen demand (COD), and vol...

متن کاملOptimization of Anaerobic Digestion of Sewage Sludge Using Thermophilic Anaerobic Pre-Treatment
In this study, we investigated by running continuous stirred tank reactor the effects of different thermophilic temperatures (55, 60, 65, 70, 75 and 80C) for different hydraulic retention times (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 days, respectively) on the pretreatment of sewage sludge. We found that hydrolysis was mainly determined by temperature instead of hydraulic retention time, i.e. the high...
